I tried to remove mine, to lower the tank and fix the mis read on the gas gauge. the cable wont free up easily. needs to have seats removed. no biggie just bit cold yet.
Gas level reads 1/2 and it only needs 1.7 to fill. gotta fix that!!!!

Ook ty. I should have worded it differently ? I'm talking about the cover for the handbrake, not the entire part. I want to just replace the cover so I can have a gold handbrake instead of the oem black one. Any idea of how to do that??

Looks like it was put on there like a set of motorcycle grips. What's the problem? making a fancy one?

Yes I purchased an all gold one, so I'm looking to spice it up a bit. But that thing fella impossible to remove and I didn want to keep trying and end up breaking something for doing it wrong. I tried to apply a little heat, but still couldn't get it. I really don't want to damage the original one, just incase I want to put it back on later.
