New trailer coming -

I ordered a new trailer from Ironhorse Motorcycle Trailers a few weeks ago before they announced this new model. I had to promise not to post any pictures until they okayed it. It's long enough for the Vanderhall and looks cooler than a standard trailer. It will be the third trailer I bought from them. Towing them is a breeze. Can't even tell they are behind you.[attachment=11][attachment=12]

Towed mine home from the dealer with a U-Haul tow dolly. 48 bucks. Fit perfectly. With the rear being essentially an idler wheel, there were no issues.

But mine looks cooler than a U-Haul.

I have a single axle 7 X 12 enclosed trailer, with electric brakes, that works just right. Originally bought to haul big motorcycles.
Some things to be aware of though: Mine has a V-nose which makes it a little longer than a square front trailer. Without the V-nose I doubt it would have fit, since I also have the added length of the optional rear fender. The door opening width is critical, make sure it is wide enough. Mine is a tight squeeze through the door. Also, I have to back it in to better distribute the weight. If I go in front first, almost all of the weight would be on the tongue.

I wasn’t trying to start a trailer snob war but for those of us who rarely trailer and actually have vehicles that have seen weather, an open, front wheel dolly is a cheap expedient that works. That’s the bottom line to my post. I am certain there are many nice trailers out there. I have a perfectly good one. Just doesn’t fit my VDH. You’re broken and you need to get it to that dealer 250 mi away, here’s an option.
