Front lower cowl replacement - Richmond - 12-21-2022

I’m looking for a front cowl for 2022 VV as I cracked mine up BAD after running over a small critter.  Not repairable.  Any suggestions for replacement other than the dealer?

I repaired mine, have all the pieces?  Also what air pressure you running? And inspect the chassis measurements ok and equal?  5.5 inch from chassis to ground.

Repaired?  I am intrigued.  I just (curse words) poked a hole about the size of a golf ball in the hood on mine.  Do you know of a resource to read up on how to repair?  I assume it is PVC or ABS.

Yes, there are many types of welding plastics. There are metal staples that heat up and embed in break.
Harborfreight has plastic welding kit.
I have used fiberglass shreds in reson to repair / fill in or reinforce.

Think its called cat hair for long strands and kitten hair for short.

On the bottom cowl a did a very flexible repair with a plastic diamond patterned mesh.

Have any pix? You did say hood?

Cat hair, eh? I have a red cat and a gray VV...don't think that would match!

I can get a picture in a day or so (work!), but it is a super-clean, almost circular pop-out. Someone, ahem, dropped a motorcycle on it and the clutch lever poked a hole clean through the hood. If it were a little closer to center, I would put a hood ornament on it and call it a day. It's been 'a day' for sure. That was just how it started.

Thanks for the info!
