Apologies for Absence - HubertCucumberdale - 08-04-2023

Hi guys and gals, I'm the creator and primary administrator of this forum, and I have been utterly absent for quite some time. Apologies for that. First it was COVID, then I moved and started a new job, and for the past several months, I've been occupied with another side project that has taken up a lot of my free time.

I am returning to active monitoring of the site, and I will be taking steps over the next couple of days/weeks to try and cull the spam and give some of my more active moderators more privileges to help keep the site up and running smoothly. 

Please expect an update to the forum software that's running Venice Forums, as well as hopefully a cleaner and more spam-free experience.
I have already rescued the forum from an impending shutdown of our mail services from AWS. Making progress!

Kudos Hubert.

One thing this site has is a potential in being a repository for information about the Vanderhall.
It also could use more "advertising" on the various Facebook Vanderhall Groups.

I agree, the initial impetus to spin up this forum was to address the downsides of the "Facebook group" structure. Better organization, more searchable, more conversational, more permanence.

I appreciate your support. I need to ditch the spam, get things updated, and perhaps recruit an admin or two, then I'd be comfortable advertising more aggressively on Facebook.

One enthusiastic Vanderhall owner who's also a member here is @RustyTeeth.
We both discussed this issue and we are both "old fashioned" in the sense of the value of this format as a hub of valuable information.
