ABS system
#1

Hi everyone,

I am trying to find out how a Vanderhall 3-wheeler ABS system works.

I am working on an electric 3-wheel drag/straight-line experimental vehicle and I'd like to borrow the ABS system.

Could anyone please share information on how many sensors there are and if the system works standalone (pressure regulator, sensors, controller, without ECU)?

Thank you,

George

Mine is one of the early ones, they may have changed it in latter models. The hardware is stock abs for the Chevy sonic. The way they got it to work is, they put both rear wheel sensors into the Vanderhal's single rear bearing housing, so the abs system is fooled into thinking the rear wheels are always going the same speed. I'm not sure if Vanderhall reprogrammed the ABS to account for this or not.
