Engine top cover note
#1

I recently removed the hood, then took off the engine top cover to access the spark plugs. Not knowing ahead of time that the cover is mounted with 1 1/2 inch spacers underneath. Just wanted to let folks know. They are also aluminum so if you drop one they are NOT magnetic! haha.
Hope this helps.

Yes!! That top engine plate has an aluminum heat shield under it, that held onto most of my spacers.

1 did escape, need to secure them as thats not fun to get them to stay on. All my fasteners were very loose causing various vibrations at different rpm.

All went away after a quick snug.
Found most of fuses loose also may want to firmly seat all those before any issues arise.
Thanks!

In addition the heat shield glued to the plastic hood falls off in 25 miles. Cut a new larger piece cleaned glued and used the metal DUCT tape ironed it on. really keeps air venting properly rather than the irregular cut skin that falls down onto you engine......
