Hi everyone 
Just purchased my first vanderhall VVBJ
I don’t know anything about it, 
I don’t know anyone that knows anything about it.

First question : I haven’t received anything else when I purchased it (except 2 sets of keys) like manual or cover or anything at all comes with it ? There was a cover behind the seats but right before I took delivery it disappeared lol so I am not sure if it supposed to come with anything else 

Second question
It had a full tank when I purchased it, drove / rode 170 miles then the tank was almost at empty so went to gas station. The tank only took 6 gallons of gas. I tried topping it off thinking it should take 8.5(google) to 9 gallons (owners manual) but it didn’t take any more than 6 gallons and indicator showed full tank of gas. So I am wondering did they change the capacity (lowered it to 6 gallons for 2021 model) or maybe there is an issue with my tank level indicator

I sold my Venice about a year ago. Little support from Vanderhall. Owner's Guide was online at their website, but has only general information and (last time I looked) only the cover (not the contents) had been updated to more recent models. For support and information, look at this site (or Facebook if you must) and hope that you have a responsible dealer. Good luck! I miss driving the Venice, but not the lack of support and information. Not likely to ever try the experience again!

The VH does not come with a cover.

The VH is a semi-custom handbuilt vehicle, there will be a few issues. I have 10,400 miles on my 2020 VVBJ. Both driveshafts were replaced and the brake line reposition was done. My cruise control (add on) has been problematic I'm currently waiting for the 2nd replacement harness. The hood heat shield has come loose twice. I fixed that with a heavy duty spray adhesive. 

I have owned a few fast cars, 14 motorcycles and flown numerous aircraft. Nothing has been as fun as my Vanderhall. Be patient, focus on the fun and performance, be ready to have attention and don't stress over the few issues, a good dealer will get it taken care of.

VH as a company needs to have a better company/dealer relationship and listen better to customers, that we can agree on. Be honest you miss how much fun it was :-)

Fun it was, but I was never really comfortable with it--always expecting something else to go wrong and get stranded. I think a good dealer (none were close) would have taken care of those worries. Sold the Venice, bought a Miata. Happy Camper!

Yea I hear you, 
I am expecting some problems but I hope it won’t have to be in the shop for months at end, I just enjoy riding it too much.
Any ideas in gas tank capacity issue I am having? From empty to full it takes 6 gallons and gives me 175 miles of range. I was expecting tank to be 9 gallons. Any ideas ?

The most I've put in mine is 7.5. Depending on how I drive I've seen as low as 32MPG and as high as 40.

I guess there is about 1.5 - 2 gallons of gas remaining when the fuel gage is on “E” which is another 50-70 miles of range.

I had bikes 50 years ago, but gradually stopped riding. The Venice brought back a good bit of that fun and I would probably still have it were it not for the failures and maintenance issues. At this point in life, looking for low hassle fun. Let's all enjoy what we have while we can! Stay safe.

Old thread, but just noticed how weird the gas gauge is. Full is at the 3 o'clock position.  Counterclockwise to 6 o'clock is empty.  Filled it first few times as it was at 9 o'clock.  Not like any gas gauge i have ever seen.

Observed a yellow light on dash when empty, then it went red. I wanted to investigate fuel anomaly. Still had 2 gal left, cant pull tank easily but it looks like a float on a wire that's 2 inches off bottom of tank!
