Hello,

New owner and member, 22 Venice. Looking forward to learning more about the most practical upgrades folks usually do first. Jean Grey, looking for ideas on costs for wrapping, and anything to make the ride more comfortable through a day in the WI country roads

Newbie questions which I will be sifting through and reading the articles/posts on:

Manual says there is a break in period, what is everyone's experience with this?
Does the vehicle have an OBD2 sensor? I was planning on using an app to review boost and other details
Is everyone using 91+ octane or can you get away with regular
How many miles are we averaging per tank?
If my VH does not come with a bump shifter, is it possible to somehow add the paddle shifters still? If so, how?
Should I just buy the replacement plexi windshield now and get it over with? lol
I've read the manual on cleaning the vehicle, but if anyone has recs on what they use, and how they wash their VH that would be great.
Easy speaker upgrades
What to watch out for/Dos and Don'ts
Has anyone ever had to use the VH provided roadside assistance before? What is that experience like.

Can't wait to drive this thing

Welcome!

You'll find answers to most of your questions in the forum, but for some of the simpler:

-Does the vehicle have an OBD2 sensor? I was planning on using an app to review boost and other details
Don't know about the 2022 models, but the earlier ones do.

-Is everyone using 91+ octane or can you get away with regular
Never tried anything other than premium. About 40 mpg.

-If my VH does not come with a bump shifter, is it possible to somehow add the paddle shifters still? If so, how?
Yes. Also easy to add cruise.

-Easy speaker upgrades
There are some that are plug & play.

Enjoy the ride!

In regards to your question on the polycarbonite windshield, you may want to call F4 and ask if they are making windshields for the '22 yet, their site says "soon"??
I too am about to receive my '22 Venice and was thinking the same thing, however I've read some folks have taken the windshield to local plastics fabricators and gotten them done dirt cheap! I'm going to research that and will let you know.

Enjoy the fun ride!

From MN as well.  We sometimes have group rides, hope to see you at one.

I recommend going to Youtube and search for Texas Oatmeal.  He has been posting a lot of videos on Vanderhalls and Vanderhall upgrades.  One of them he is upgrading his Venice with a paddle shifter.  He says it brings the Vanderhall experience to a whole new level.

Been told to use high octane so that is what I use.  Speaking of fuel, be careful filling up the tank, it overflows easily.  One method to avoid it is to look at the fuel gauge and watch the pump on how much you are putting in.

4 inch clearance, careful on those speed bumps and don't pull in too far when parking face first to a curb.

Lots of fun (and probably necessary) upgrades out there like wood dashboards and third brake light.
