Anyone know how the seat heaters are wired? I can't see the lights on the switch to know the setting unless it is dark. I haven't used the heaters a great deal but suspect the only real setting is on and off. Was thinking of replacing the switch with a simple lighted toggle and just implementing one of the settings if that worked with the system. Would like to know how the switch is wired before I go to the trouble of taking off the windshield and dash cowling. TIA! (2019 Venice).

I have the same problem seeing the lights on the switch. I have my 2018 VV apart right now, so took a picture of the backside of the switch. A lot of wires come out of the switch, but I would only need 1, or 2 positions, since even on low I find mine gets too hot. If you figure it out, please post your method of wiring.
I found what appears to be the manufacturer: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33009236...88ae2a78ac

J PatrickI can't get the picture of the switch to post. It is very accessible once the cowling and windshield are removed. There is a plug on the switch with 6 wires to it.

I could see the picture you posted. With 6 wires, probably would have to apply the multimeter and see which wires have voltage as the switch is cycled. I would hope I could isolate a single pair to hook to a toggle switch. Not sure changing the switch is enough motivation by itself to do the disassembly!

Can’t help on switching the switch. My MO is to brace my hand and count clean pushes on the button. Don’t try it on a bumpy stretch. Off-3-2-1 is the cycle, of course. As a barely related side issue, I mounted an oil press gauge above my seat heater switch and managed to get some very small aluminum bits in the switch and it jammed on 3, in Fl, in Jul. They were kind enough to install one in the passenger side of my Speedster that I had taken out to pass some wires and I swapped it out. Don’t have to disassemble anything as it pulls out of the dash with enough wire to be able to work it easily. Cleaned the contaminated one and it’s now in the spares bin. The switch is environmentally sealed, but below the button which bounces on a sealed micro switch that is so weakly sprung it barely gets the button back out of the way. So, mind the debris around them, either yours or nature’s. Luckily it pulls out of the dash smartly and is a push/click disassembly to clean the button and button socket. The rest is sealed.
I didn't like the seat heater switches either. The 6 wires from the switch go down into a sealed control box in the sides. I found it simpler to order a new set of universal set heaters with a simple high low switch from Amazon. I really only needed the control unit. The heating elements in the seats are universal, so I saved the new ones I got with he kit, and plugged the new control unit into the existing seat heaters. Then I used a 3 position toggle switch Up is high, middle off, Down is low.
2022 VVenice
Found the seat heater fuse its located under the dash above brake pedal, its a lime green 20 amp fuse next to the square grey relay. Seems to supply both heaters. looks like there is a relay to actuate the seat heaters. May not need big 20amp toggle switches. May be for surge or that they are exposed somewhat to elements under rocker.
Here is 2022 wiring colors
Black is Ground
Brown is 12volt positive
Grey switched to seat heaters, actually latches another relay. That does high amp switching to both top bottom heat coils. I used marine grade flush mount with light.
The photo shown, had the led red circle lit all the time move it to grey so it lit when on.
Now working on a thermostat to set so it dont cook you.
