It would seem to me that when you want your cruise control most you’d need extra light the least esp at night. I had a string of mildly bright LCDs laying around from another project years ago. Powered them up and ran them through my last unused toggle on the dash. Under the dash and under the “passenger” fairing. On when you need them off when you don’t and not entangled with another unrelated function. None of my bidness, but I’d tap off the power socket, run it through a toggle. One stop shopping while the cowl is off. Clean.
