I purchased a Boost Gauge for my 2018 Venice at my dealer with the intent of installing myself. It came without directions or the wiring harness that is advertised as being included. My dealer, Lynnwood, would not help. For no price would they show me where to plug it in. They would only install it themselves with an open-ended credit card. Suggested it would cost up to $400. Two other dealers were helpful on the phone but following their directions (plugging into the two gauge daisy chains - the obvious way to install) it did not work, and caused my other gauges to be erratic, and gave me a check engine light. None of the dealers seem to be sure if there is really a different harness needed. The factory won't answer emails on technical issues. I now have a $200 paper weight.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hey coolwhip,
I'm pretty sure there should be a harness included. Both vanderhallusa.com and vanderhallparts.com advertise an install harness coming with the kit. Since the suggestions from the dealerships do not seem to be helping, you might try reaching out to vanderhallparts.com. They seem like nice guys, and I would bet they'd be willing to give you some advice. If you're definitely missing the harness, you should harass the dealership you bought the kit from (my thinking is that they omitted the harness so there would be no feasible way for you to install, requiring professional installation by them...but maybe that's my cynicism talking), or return it to the dealership and re-purchase from vanderhallparts.com.
It definitely shouldn't be that complicated to install this gauge, and I feel your pain with everyone giving you the runaround. I wish that I had better advice to give you. I have yet to purchase any accessories for my VV.
If you're able to get any useful advice and do figure out the installation, please please write it up in the DIY section of the forum so that others who are having the same problems can learn from your experience. I'm sure you aren't the only one struggling with this.

SawDust - the gauge came with 2 sets of wires attached (about 10" long). One 3-wire set is red/white/black with a plug that matches the red/white/black daisy chain that goes to all the other gauges. The other set is 2 wires, black/black with dashes on it, that has a plug to mate with the other daisy chain that matches it, and goes to all the gauges. It looks like a no-brainer to just make the matching connections. This is what I did, but the boost gauge does nothing, and upset my other gauges. Interesting, I left the black/black plugged in but unplugged the red/white/black, and everything went back to normal. I drive it this way. I don't know what each wire does, but he problem only appears when I plug in the r/w/b. Gauge doesn't work no matter how plugged in.

Update on the boost gauge installation problem. After learning that the gauges for my 2018 Venice were manufactured by Speedhut, I contacted them for info on the boost gauge, and was directed to Dave at Open Road Moto Sports in St. George, UT. He went the extra mile to help me, and after numerous emails and photos we finally determined the gauge was probably faulty. I got another one, installed it as per the obvious plug-in connections, and it worked. If my dealer would have been willing to work with me, I could have solved this right away, without wasting time trying to get factory help, or help from several other dealers around the country who were no help.
I'm impressed by Dave at openroadmotosports.com.
I'll post installation instructions under "Tutorials & DIY" below.

I ordered a mechanical boost gauge from speed hut that matches the Vanderhall stock gauges. Hookek it up to the electrical wires in the daisy chain, but for the boost signal I spliced in to a rubber line from the intake.
