Quick release fasteners for hood on Venice
#1

I would like to replace the 8 bolts holding the hood on my Venice with something easier to remove and replace. I don't think anything that involves fixed studs on the posts holding the u-nuts will work because the hood has to fit within its frame before the current bolts are threaded though the holes in the hood. I saw a posting about using something called Dzus fasteners which secure with a quarter turn. From the pictures, not clear to me that the backside (corresponding to the u-nuts) can be attached to the posts where the u-nuts are currently installed. Anyone have any experience with these or other fasteners that would permit simpler removal and attachment of the hood on the Venice? TIA.

I have installed quick connects on my VV. One issue is that I have not figured out what to do on the back screw.

I also would like to mode the hood fasteners. It is difficult to get the hood back on, the u-nuts falls off and/or move. I was thinking a post that takes a cotter pin.

So you can try Dzus fitting on the front 3.
