I’m not sure I understand what you’re asking but it sounds like you are perhaps looking for a hot wire to run some lights? I don’t understand why you would add strip lights to a fairly low amperage circuit that’s only lit when the CC is on. I never bother to shut mine off so that might be okay, I reckon. Either way, I don’t have a clue where the CC light wire is but a little diligent probing with a VOM should tell the tale. If you are looking to add multiple accessories, I’d go with a fuseblock such as found at fuseblock.com. I’ve added them to all my bikes and my Speedster as a matter of course for the last ten years or so and recommend them highly. No electrical spaghetti coming off your battery. No dead batt from not shutting something off that’s on an always-on, straight-to-the-batt circuit. It will safely carry 30 amps, total. Easy installation, easy to add accs. Having said all that, if you are just looking for a safe hot wire to tap into, try the power socket “cig lighter” circuit. It is ign-on power only. My personal problem is that it never stops there and pretty soon your power tap, wherever, gets overloaded and starts to look like spaghetti as you move on to the next must-have accessory.
