I didn't like the seat heater switches either. The 6 wires from the switch go down into a sealed control box in the sides. I found it simpler to order a new set of universal set heaters with a simple high low switch from Amazon. I really only needed the control unit. The heating elements in the seats are universal, so I saved the new ones I got with he kit, and plugged the new control unit into the existing seat heaters. Then I used a 3 position toggle switch Up is high, middle off, Down is low.
