Can you please detail this a bit more. Are you saying different resistance tells it to shift up or down?

Is this a normally open switch? Or a dual position up and down.  Center neutral?  Nice rubber boot, any part numbers or a quick pencil schematic?

Also can you elaborate on the transmission mod, to put it into the manual mode. 

My 2022 has M on dash but i cant get it to go there.

I see the pdf file now sry. Is that a DPDT switch looks single pole double throw.  Very interesting!
