If you have a catalytic converter, go catless. I did that on mine and it had a more aggressive note afterwards. I had to install an after cat O2 sensor emulator to get it to not throw a code or go into a fuel enrichment mode.

After I dumped the cat, I made a custom exhaust with a longer cherry bomb type muffler and welded a bigger tip, I also painted the exhaust cover black so the red would show behind it. It looks great, but now it's quieter vs the stock exhaust without a cat. Here's some before, during and after.

Nice work there, 4est. Had the same reaction to the exhaust note sans cat. A little too bodacious. May try your cherry bomb fix. Had some minor PTSD looking at your cat pic, btw. Getting too old for extreme garage yoga. Looks like the same wrap I used. Amazon? I got no codes on mine but I have the BNR program installed. Perhaps they adjust for that? Has that been installed yet? Curious re your codes. Anyhoo, good job.

Hey guys I removed my catalytic converter and went with a down pipe. Shortly after one of my resonators started rattling around. I took the Pipes to ScotRods here in town and had him removed resonators and I'll tell you what. Cruising at low low RPMs the thing sounds like a desiel truck all the turbo noise and at highway speed it sounds like an old WW2 fighter.

Pipe mod was $150 and sounds way better than any of the 3" exhaust here in North Texas.
