I've owned my VV for 9 months. I found the owner's manual very incomplete, inaccurate, and poorly formatted. Over the months, I have learned a few things that others may be wondering about:
1. There is a pigtail to attach a battery charger located inside the left front wheel well, forward of the shock absorber rocker, accessible without removing the hood.
2. The special socket needed for the wheel lugs is inside the storage area behind the seats, in a clip overhead.
3. Dimmer switch for the dash lights, option which I installed, does not shut off completely. BTW, directions that came with it were incorrect.
4. I added a small steel plate with double sided tape under the glove box so I could attach small items with magnets.
5. You need to carry a 4mm (5/32") allen wrench to remove the hood in an emergency.
6. Factory says bottom side of floor is flat and you can lift with a jack anywhere except under gas tank, or forward of the front seam, under radiators. Look before jacking.
7. Some confusion over the proper oil filter. Mine uses GM# 25195784 even though the label on the filter cap says a different number. Drain plug is 10mm, oil filter is 24mm.
8. Under hood, label says use DESOX1 oil. This is actually supposed to say DEXOS1. One dealer tried to sell me DEXOS2, but that's for diesel engines.
Others have probably learned many more items of interest. Please post them. Thanks.
EDIT 1/1/2020: In note 7 above the filter number is a typo. It should be 25195785. This is also AC Delco PF2263G. I have a UFI filter housing with a brown cap. The cap is marked to say to use 25195775. I found that 25195775 was replaced by 25195785. Thanks to Brummbar's post today, I discovered more info and correct this.
