Anyone having issues with trans slipping or strange gear changes?

BTW does anyone know whats the trans model I believed its GT40 but I see others for GT35

Talking the hood off  and getting it back on is a PITA. Maybe this would allow access to both.

I would like a hood that opens without full removal.

Anybody out there with a 1.4L know where I might easily tap into the intake manifold for a vac gauge? Nothing obvious to me except the brake booster which the gauge mfr says not to do. Looks like a dismount and drill job which seems way too much trouble at this juncture. If I take it off for some other real reason, yeah, but no.

I saw on facebook (not a member so can't respond) a fiberglass hood for a Venice. I did see a link to an email and I asked if they could make one that opens to check oil. Of course there was no response. What's with vendors who never respond? Blame it on Covid like everything else....LOL

I do not understand the need for the dash switch set-up. Why could the cruse not ne on the turn signal stalk?
