The optional boost gauge for the 2018 Venice, which I purchased from my dealer, came without directions. I will tell you my experience in finally getting it installed and working. My Venice is VIN #532. This may not apply to all later Venices, since I have heard some wiring changes were made about VIN# 600. Newer Venices, I think, come with a factory installed boost gauge. The first gauge I purchased was faulty and did not work.
In my installation, the gauge came with two sets of wires coming out the back. One 3-wire set is red/black/white with a connector plug on the end. The other 2-wire set is black/black with white dashes; it also has a connector plug on the end.
1. Remove the hood, windshield, and cowling over the dash. It's all just a bunch of screws, not difficult.
2. Now you can see all the wiring behind the dash. Most of the wires don't serve any use. The ones you need to find (easy to find) are the two daisy chains of wires that you will find attached to all of the already installed gauges. They are colored exactly the same as the wire sets coming out of the new gauge.
3. The r/b/w daisy chain should have several spare unused connectors where you can plug in the same colored wires from the new gauge. Plug in to any spare.
4. The b/b daisy chain on mine did not have any spare unused connectors (this became an issue with the dealer). In the description of the gauge, when you order it, it says a cable is included. It took awhile to get confirmation that this is the cable you need, to create a spare, where you plug in the b/b wire from the new gauge. It is only about 6" long, and has 3 connectors on it. See Picture. You must have it, if you don't already have a spare on the b/b daisy chain. An option would be to hard wire the b/b from the gauge to the daisy chain.
5. Once both connectors are plugged in, the gauge should work. Now you need to decide how to mount it on the dash.
6. On my Venice, there is a temperature gauge in the center of the dash, above the bluetooth. I cut a new 2" hole with a hole saw, in the dash, to the left of the speedometer cluster, and moved the temp gauge there, then installed the boost gauge in the hole where the temp gauge was removed.

Figured I would put this out there - Flat Out Motorsports just picked up Vanderhall (after Falcone Powersports shut down abruptly). The cool thing about this particular move is that Vanderhall, Slingshot, and Can-am Spyders/Rykers are sitting next to each other on the same floor. Great opportunity to directly compare Vanderhall and I think it will bring more people in.

Need some help. I noticed leaking oil/fluid from my right wheel. I attached a picture. Any advice? Oh....the only Vanderhall dealership in my state folded.
Anyone know how the seat heaters are wired? I can't see the lights on the switch to know the setting unless it is dark. I haven't used the heaters a great deal but suspect the only real setting is on and off. Was thinking of replacing the switch with a simple lighted toggle and just implementing one of the settings if that worked with the system. Would like to know how the switch is wired before I go to the trouble of taking off the windshield and dash cowling. TIA! (2019 Venice).
The following is provided as general information covering the GM, 1.4 EcoTec engine oil filters for all 2017 to 2019 Vanderhall Venice Models (Un-confrimed if this applies to the 2020 Venice Blackjack engines).
- From 2016 thru 2019 all Venice Models use a GM LUV 1.4T MPFI engine with a Garret GT14 turbocharger
- In 2020, the Venice Blackjack uses a GM LE2 direct injection 1.4T engine with a Mitsubishi TD025 turbocharger.

OK, I need somebody to explain to me this….
As per the BNR website:
BNR Tune 2016-2019 Vanderhall 1.4T is $799.99
But…
BNR Tune 2020+ Vanderhall Venice Blackjack 1.4T is $1199.99
And their own product descriptions for both appear to be almost identical; except for the reported gains are slightly different:
· 2016-2019 Venice is possible 60HP / 100 Torque
· 2018 Blackjack is possible 63HP / 92 Torque
Given that both types of vehicles have the same 1.4L EcoTec engine and 6-Speed transmission combination I am compelled to ask:
If it’s just that the tunes themselves are different – like BNR took second stab at it and got better numbers? Could the tunes be identical and the numbers just a testing variant?
Will the Blackjack tune (VTune 1.0) work on the earlier Venices - If not, why?
Will the earlier tune (VTune 2.0) work on a Blackjack? And possible save $400.00 and get virtually the same resaults?
Finally, should someone who currently have VTune 1.0 have to pay full price to get VTune 2.0?
Yes, I an the kind of guy that thinks about the above….SORRY. And, please do not think I am down on BNR – they and their products are awesome; I just want to make sense of the above.

I have not bought a Venice yet. I started/wanted one since the debut of the Speedster. But, due to issues could not get one until now..... Unfortunately, it looks more and more like i will get no Speedster at all; I will probably go with a Blackjack.
I like the Venice Blackjack; but, its not my first choice - it is a VERY good choice though; in fact, a younger me may have made it first choice..
My big quarm is that it have no heat and as I get older, that is something VERY much desired..... Of course, I can and will add the heated seats; but, I am not sure I will or can add a conventional heater.
Another issue I had and still have is the Factory Service Manual; I live over 100 miles from the closest VH dealer and I feel that having it must be an integral part of the purchase agreement - that continues to be a show stopper. We will just have to see how that plays out, I guess.
I saw an earlier post about FB, I am not that big a fan of it either. But, it seemed to be the orchestrated conduit by VH and their dealer network for info and their user-base - maybe in time i will grow to like it??? Time will tell. I have to use FB mainly because no dealer near me has one and their ability to answer question on and general knowledge of is a bit lacking (actually, the same was true and still is true for the Speedster too.)
But, even with the misgivings above, I would like to have a Venice and will continue to pursue one - "ON MAY TERMS".
