Forum: Dealership & Vendor Review

After about 2 years of renting and ghosting the FB and this sites forums the stars fell into alignment to purchase a Vanderhall.
It would have been more than 4 rental trips but not always successful.  Actual reason why:
* None are available.
* Sold the unit you were going to rent.
* Previous renter has not returned the unit yet.
* Last renter was hit by someone with no insurance, sitting in the shop until its settled.

So, since they didn't have any used ones I asked about a 2020 Blackjack.  Said they would get back to me but never did so I assumed they couldn't get one.

Found a 2018 Venice at American Marine & MotorSports.  Talked with Jimmy (sales), Tim (tech), and Brian the manager.  Tim not only works on Vanderhalls for American Marine and MotorSports but also showed a passion for them.  Overall a great experience and well worth over 8 hours round trip.

No longer a rental availability issue, now 2018 Vanderhall Venice owner.
Brian

When this site was first created I was able to post pictures, this year I keep getting timed out.  Only this site has been a constant issue, not sure why.

Good morning,

I'm a new Venice owner from Detroit, MI. Does anyone know the break-in mileage for the 2019 Venice?

The good news is that the replacements, front only, are about as much as just the rear on my motorcycles. Getting a slightly harder compound with a good water shucking tread in a more conventional pattern. I would like a torque value for the lugs if anybody has one.

Hello from SW Missouri. Just purchased a Venice during the Sturgis rally and I'm waiting for it's delivery. Are there any other owners in this area?

Hello,
New member, first time posting. I own one of the first production Venices vin 00005. Lucky me right? Wrong!

I've had numerous issues stemming from the hurried way they put these together in the beginning. I've been slowly chipping away at these issues over many weekends. At this time it seems the more issues I fix, the more issues I find. I've come to a point where I need help from you guys.

The most recent issue is the engine motor mounts, when the engine loads up it hits the hood and bends the coolant reservoir up. There's about 2 to 3 inches of flex on the front of the engine. I've seen videos of later Vanderhalls with the hood off and there doesn't seem to be nearly as much flex.

Which brings me to my question. How many motor mounts do you have? I have 3, one on each side of the engine and one at the rear supporting the transmission. If you have an additional one at the front of the engine and can post a pic, it would help me immensely. That way I can fabricate one myself or possibly order one from the dealership.

Tomorrow, I'll post some pics of the motor mounts I do have and maybe you guys can tell me if yours look any different.

Just got it fixed at my not so local dealer, drove 80miles back, the ABS wire got wrapped around the CV boot, tore it all up. The car was at the dealers for a month for a leaky CV boot, it’s gonna get towed back to the dealers next week. I’m not even mad, lol par for the course I guess!

When I spoke to the manager in Provo he did provide one piece of information. As of today VH driveshafts will be from a new supplier. That means VH is admitting our driveshafts are defective. My left side failed for the second time and my VH is in the shop (again). I have requested that VH replace both driveshafts with the newer model. VH knowing the shafts are defective would be subject to liability should one fail and cause an accident.

Other than telling me that one piece of information, the Provo guy was completely unhelpful and arrogant.
