1.) Blackjack delivered to dealer with a hood that had a bad finish. they failed to package the replacement correctly and it arrived damaged. Did get a replacement hood 5 weeks after my initial complaint.
2.) CV boot split, I think because a mis-installed electrical connection rubbed on it. VH sent a replacement driveshaft.
3.) I ask my dealer (good shop) to go through the vehicle to see if anything else was defective. The hoods heat shield was pealing off. Dealer ordered a replacement while my Blackjack sat at the sealer. Why did it take 6 days for a part to travel from Provo UT to St George UT (590 miles)?
So a total of 2 1/2 weeks of not having use of the vehicle. I am starting to wish I did not buy a VH.

Would love to make mine louder. I will be tuning soon and probably get the bnr down pipe but then....want to find a nice exhaust any one have recommendations?

CV boot split, grease everywhere. Took it to the shop this morning for repair. VH didn't just send a new boot they sent a complete driveshaft assembly. Dealer was having difficulty getting the driveshaft out, he said won't be done today, nice enough to give me a ride home 35 miles away and said they would deliver when complete. Stuff happens but it is nice to have a good dealer like Open Road Motorsports in St. George Utah.

Ive done my extensive research and Im ready to pull the trigger on a Venice. I was just hoping some of you would offer any advice you may have.
Im looking at a used 2018. Its pretty much stock and Ill be doing a lot to it as long as I can actually get my hands on the parts.
I know about the CV boots, that seems to be the most common issue. What else should I be looking for before purchasing?

I was hoping to locate a speedster, but that attempt is proving to be futile. So, I was wondering if anyone has tried to convert their Venice into a single seat speedster by removing passenger seat and fabricating a cowl? I know the rear section is different on the speedster, but a cowl could be fabricated to include the hump behind headrest. To me it would be the best of both worlds. Might approach a custom body shop and see if they would want to give it a go....
thanks
mike

Possible prospective owner here from Northern KY (greater Cincinnati).
Probably won't happen for a few years (wife and I just had twins in Feb). But I discovered Vanderhall and think they are super cool. The inlaw's neighbor got a slingshot and I'm starting to think life is short and I would love something like that to cruise around in on the weekend and take to the drive in movie theater.
I really like the Venice Blackjack but am a little disappointed that the 2020's still have the 1.4 and not the 1.5 (is this really that big a deal? Seems like there is a lot more tuning support for the 1.4 my biggest concern is with the 1.5 being an Alum block and possibly lighter?) It also seems like it's really stripped down (no heat?) but that's kind of the whole point of this thing anyway. Is it worth it to step up to the normal Venice? Also they really need to make a Manual one.
Looks like insurance is a possible concern on these from a quick browse, will be sure to look at quotes before buying. This was one of my main concerns I've always had with getting a 3rd "fun" vehicle: it seems like the extra monthly insurance cost was better spent on just upgrading vehicle 2 to something fun. It always seemed silly to me to pay so much more for a 3rd car when we only have 2 drivers so there is almost no increase in risk to the insurance company.
Another big concern of mine is that the Ohio dealer near me (Milford) does not appear to be an authorized service center which would make the closest one probably Indianapolis or Columbus. This would definitely be an important question to ask as I'm not sure if they tow it 200 miles if that's the closest service center. Not a big of a concern after warranty because it seems like this would be pretty easy to work on the simple stuff.
I am also wondering what people pay for these things? Do dealers discount them at all? Is there a better time to buy like late fall when its "out of season". I could probably write a check for 3 of these and not even blink but my wife especially is very frugal and a 25K+ toy would be a hard sell especially with the added insurance cost. But with the whole Covid thing if there is a deal to be had I might be more tempted to pull the trigger.
Also on the plus side it does seem these are holding there value very well (the slingshots do too).

A 2020 Venice owner in Texas had a transmission failure then ended up in a crash when the wheels locked up. He is okay but his VH is totaled. I sure hope this is an isolated problem.

Mine will only come on with the engine running. Should they not ruction with the engine off?

2020 Venice GT for sale maroon and tan 456 miles too hard to get in and pout of 29500.00

Grease from CV boot turned into the vehicle needing a new axel according to the dealer, I guess most dealers operate in the shade lol
